Queerious Queers Podcast by Queer Youth Action Commitee

The Queer Youth Action Committee is a passionate group that aims to make Ottawa a safer and better place for queer youth. With a momentum grant, they plan to create a podcast for 2SLGBTQ+ youth by 2SLGBTQ+ youth. Some examples of topics they would like to explore include asexuality, non-binary identities and fun coming out stories and experiences.

Team Wabano

Team Wabano is made up of Indigenous youth ages 13-17 living in the Ottawa area. They hope to inspire more youth to help reduce the stigma surrounding opioid use. They want to make a video of interviews showing the impact of opioids on users in recovery and their families. By telling the stories of ordinary and relatable community members, they hope to reduce stigma and help people see that opioid use could affect anyone.

CU Smile

CU Smile is a group that was founded as a Carleton University club back in 2016. The club sought to help with issues such as homelessness, youth mental health, education, and much more. Some of their achievements over the past 5 years include: delivering warm meals and clothes to those in need, collaborating with organizations such as Shepherds of Good Hope to help the most vulnerable during Covid-19, and providing mental health support and help to students during strenuous exam seasons
