What
Tell ‘Em Girl is an initiative that focuses on empowering the voices and expressions of women identifying individuals in the city of Ottawa. Through workshops, support programs, showcases, social media and more, we are empowering women to express exactly who they are, unapologetically. Specifically, they are planning a spoken word showcase in August and hope to provide 6 week programs in schools where women identifying students will learn confidence building, healthy relationships, entrepreneurship, public speaking, and expression through art ending in a showcase in front of their peers.
In their words: “Our initiative provides women of all ages with a focus on youth with the tools needed to build confidence, overcome hardship, and pursue their dreams. Through Tell ‘Em Girl we hope to make a long-lasting impact in the lives of young women in our community.”
