Purple Sisters

What: The Purple Sisters would like to host a virtual presentation on the body positivity movement for youth, with a central focus on young women. Our presentation would apply a feminist approach that acknowledges the excessive sexualization and misogyny in the messages perpetuated to us in our culture and society. 

In their words: '“Success regarding this initiative for the Purple Sisters would be to facilitate a constructive discussion amongst participants who are able to put to great use the information and resources provided, creating both positive and inclusive spaces for themselves and those around them. This discussion would allow for participants to share their experiences regarding body image, some of the struggles they have faced and an opportunity to build a community.”
