Hey Black Girl

What: Our initiative is centred around hosting a 4-week series of workshops that professionally develop and support black youth in Ottawa. The workshops would give young black women the opportunity to gain skills, have their work celebrated and provide opportunities for networking. 

In their words: “Success for this project would be black women getting paid for their labour - guest speakers and facilitators. It would be young black women in Ottawa being acknowledged, highlighted and having the opportunity to gain access to free workshops held by women who look like them from their communities.”
