What

Our initiative is a youth group for individuals with learning and developmental disabilities. We would be participating in art and personal development programming. We would run the program every Monday out of a local space.

In their words: “Success would look like all of us coming together and having a safe space to speak about our disabilities and how it affects our ability to gain employment. Success for us would be gaining the skills to gain meaningful employment. This initiative is important because it can be very difficult for people with disabilities to gain employment. The stigma around disabilities and mental health is still high.”
