What

We want to provide the Muslim youth of Ottawa with high-quality events that cater to their religious needs. Its difficult to find creative, intriguing events that are not only run professionally but also create an environment where the Muslim youth of Ottawa can comfortably fulfil their religious duties without feeling like they are outcasted, awkward or that they are missing out on some part of the event. We also encourage people of every religious, cultural or ethnic background to join in on and enjoy these events (with or without a Muslim friend!). We believe that through these events we can create an environment where questions about Islam are easy-flowing and naturally brought up in conversation and therefore, we can create a better understanding within the community of what Islam truly entails - one fun event at a time.

In their words: “With increasing incidents of minorities being portrayed poorly in the media, we feel that it's important to educate our communities on these matters. To us, success would be normalising fun, safe-spaces where everyone can feel free to practice their faith/views without feeling like they are diverging from “normal” and where learning about each others’ faiths/views is common.”
