What

Every year Unity for Action picks a local beneficiary in the Ottawa-Gatineau region for whom we can raise money and awareness by running a variety of different events, inspired by the motto that "helping the community can be as easy as doing what you love." For the 2019-2020 academic year, we have chosen to support the Youth Services Bureau, which aims to help young people and address the problems they might face. Our main fundraising initiative this year is an original musical production at the University of Ottawa, set to be performed March 21 and 22, 2020.

In their words: “We aim to inspire those involved with Unity for Action to become more active members of the Ottawa-Gatineau region. This is especially important because a large portion of our organization consists of university students from outside the Ottawa-Gatineau region. However, while they are at school, we hope to inspire them to engage in the community that they can now call home to create positive change. By inspiring the fellow youth involved in our organization, we hope to create empowered youth that feel they can make a difference in their new community just by doing what they love.”
